Magisto - Magical Video Editor

I've been playing around with this 'Free' app (and I use that term somewhat loosely). The free version is very limited, as in you can only add 5 pictures and 10 video clips. The time limit for the movie you create is limited to about 1 minute, so it's really only useful to share a quick little movie and not something that you'd want to port over and use in something like iMovie. The app also has some built in songs that you can use for your movie or you can choose to use something already on your iPhone/iPad.
The free version will not let you save to your camera roll, but you can share the link via email. If you want to upload it to YouTube you have to give Magisto the ability to manage your entire YouTube account. NO F'ING WAY! There's no need for this app to have to have that kind of control over my stuff.
Here's the other big negative against this app. If you want to download your video, you pay .99 EVERY TIME you want to download YOUR video. If you want to create longer movies with unlimited downloads you have to pay $4.99 per MONTH. For even longer movies with unlimited downloads, you have to pay, wait for it.....$17.99 per YEAR!!! I totally understand the creators of this app are trying to make money, but they're crazy to think people will pay that kind of money for this app. In contrast, you can buy iMovie for your iPhone for only $4.99 and you have a much more robust editing app with total control over your videos.
All this being said, the video that this app creates for you are for the most part pretty cool, but not worth more than a nominal one-time fee that gives you total access to your videos.
If you want to just create some short little movies to share and not do anything else with, this is a nice app.
