Just thought I'd list what my current favorite camera apps were and why. I'll probably start threads about each one and go into more detail on the merits or drawbacks of the apps. Camera Awesome (free) - A huge improvement over the base camera that comes with the iPhone. The ability to set where you want the focus and exposure to be helps take better pictures, especially in lower light situations. It also has a configurable timer that works with both the front and rear cameras so you can set it and get yourself into the picture. www.appshopper.com/photography/camera-awesomeVideo Camera (by i4Software - $7.99) allows you to create mini-movies on the go. The rec button also acts like a pause that lets you create one video clip as you record multiple ones. You can set transitions between shots and it also has a pretty good set of movie making tools when you're all done recording. I got this one when it was free. www.appshopper.com/photography/video-camera-3Demander or DMD (currently free) is my app of choice for shooting panorama shots. Just line up the Ying/Yang symbol and it will automatically take the next shot. www.appshopper.com/photography/dermandarI've recently installed ProCam when it was free the other day, but haven't tried it out yet. It's still currently showing as free. www.appshopper.com/photography/procam

I know you're looking for an all-in-one still/video app so you don't have to do a lot of switching. I downloaded Top Camera ( appshopper.com/search/?search=top+camera) A while back when it was free. I never used it much, but I took a closer look at it today. Some of the more notible feature you may like are: - Zoom in both still and video mode - Save to app, camera roll or both - Touch for seperate exposure and focus (like Camera Awesome) - Effects slider lets you blend from none to full effect - Save original and edited as a copy - 2, 5 10 and 20 second timer - Sound activated shutter - Manually adjust brightness, contrast, saturation and white balance before taking the picture - HDR mode - Slow shutter mode (which I can't figure out yet)

I've got the Lite version of Top Camera, but admit I haven't really done much with it. I downloaded it quite a while ago and then when I got Camera Awesome I just started using it since it seemed about the same (except for the zoom on video, which I now think is a waste (especially since you explained it so well).
